A melody could be heard upon the wind, like a song emerging from nothingness.

No one knew when or where the Bard of the Wind lived. There were those who claimed to have seen him, yet none of their stories ever quite matched. Some said he appeared among the mists, but the sightings came from vastly different places and times. No one knew which, if any, were true.

The only thing known for certain was that his songs travelled with the wind, wandering from realm to realm.

In the old tales about him, two things were repeated time and again: the instrument he played was the Wind Lyre, and the Bard was a shaman who could bend the wind.
